I n s t a l m e n t and charge accounts receivable a t f u r n i t u r e s t o r e s
declined 2 per cent during February. C o l l e c t i o n s on instalment accounts
were 12 p e r cent of t h e amount outstanding a t the beginning of the month.
T o t a l n e t s a l e s a t reporting s t o r e s were unchanged from t h e
previous month, r e f l e c t i n g a decline i n ensh s a l e s of U per cent and an
o f f s e t t i n g i n c r e a s e i n c r e d i t s a l e s . T o t a l net s a l e s f o r the f i r s t
two months of 1959 wore 10 per cent above t h e same period a year ago.
