1. Commercial banks are thoee in the 50 states and District of Columbia with national or stale charters plus agencies and branches of foreign banks, New York investment
companies majority owned by foreign banks, and Edge Act corporations owned by domeetlcally chartered and foreign banks.
2. Seasonally adjusted federal funds, RPs, and other borrowings from nonbanks and not ssasonaMy adjueted net Eurodollars.
3. Other borrowings are borrowings of any Instrument, such as a promissory note or due bill, given for the purpoee of borrowing money for the banking business. This includee
borrowings from Federal Reserve Banks and from foreign banks, term federal funds, overdrawn due from bank balancee, loan RPs and participations in pooled loans.
