ST. LOUIS -- The board of directors of the Louisville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis has
elected John A. Williams chairman. Williams is chairman and chief executive officer of Computer Services, Inc.
Headquartered in Paducah, Ky., Computer Services, Inc., provides data processing services and software to
nearly 300 financial institutions in Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, and seven other states via customer service/data
processing centers in 12 locations.
Williams is the vice chairman of the board for the National Boy Scout Museum. He also has served as president
of the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce, vice president of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and
president of the Four Rivers Council of the Boy Scouts of America. In addition, he has served on the Governor's
Commissions on science and technology, economic development, unemployment insurance and education.
Williams has a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky.
The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis has branches in Memphis, Little Rock and Louisville. It serves the Eighth
Federal Reserve District, which includes all of Arkansas, eastern Missouri, southern Indiana, southern Illinois,
western Kentucky, western Tennessee and northern Mississippi. In addition to serving as a bank for depository
institutions and the U.S. government, each Reserve Bank supervises state-chartered member banks and bank
holding companies, monitors economic conditions in the District and participates in formulating monetary
policy.
