LOUIS -- Fred Hof, a teacher at Bishop DuBourg High School, traded in his pointer for a pencil on Nov. 7, 1994, to attend The ABCs ' of Global Trade, a free economic education workshop hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, in conjunction with the University of Missouri-St. Louis and Southern .Illinois University-Edwardsville. At the workshop, Hof and more than 60 other Missouri and Illinois high school teachers learned the issues behind free trade and creative ways to explain them to their students. The need for this type of economic education is clear.
