ST. LOUIS -- The boards of directors of the Dallas, Atlanta and St. Louis Federal Reserve Banks have elected
Bill Poole of the St. Louis Fed as a voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the Federal
Reserve’s monetary policymaking arm, for the remainder of 1998.
Poole, who became the president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis on March
23, intends to attend and vote at the FOMC meeting on March 31. Robert McTeer, president of the Dallas Fed,
would vote as an alternate during 1998 if Poole were unable to attend a meeting.
