M is s o u r i November 3, 1953 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT To AU Banks in the Eighth Federal Reserve D istrict: The Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis has appointed D arryl R. Francis a Vice President of the bank, effective November 1, 1953. M r. Francis will serve in the St. Louis office until the end of this year, after which time he will become M anager of the Memphis Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, succeeding Paul E. Schroeder, who has resigned, effective December 31, 1953. Mr. Francis was born in Ridgeway, Missouri, and is a graduate of the University of Missouri. He served for five years as secretary and treasurer of Production Credit Associations in Springfield and St. Joseph, Missouri, and for four years was associated with the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis as agricultural economist. Since April, 1949 Mr. Francis has been engaged in commercial banking; until December, 1952 as Vice President of the National Bank of Commerce, Memphis, Tennessee, and since January, 1953 as Vice President of Boatm en’s N ational Bank, St. Louis, Missouri.
