The Department of the Treasury has accepted $ 9,013 m i l l i o n of
$ 25, 9 0 0 m i l l i o n of t e n d e r s received from the pu b l i c for the 2 - y e a r
notes, Series AB-1986, auctioned today,, The notes will be issued
N ove m b e r 30, 1984, and m a tur e November 30, 1 9 8 6 0
The interest rate on the notes will be 10-3/8%.

from the public.
In addition to the $9,013 m i l lion of t e n ders accepted in the
auction process, $380 m i l lion of tenders was a w a r d e d at the average
price to Federal R e s e r v e Banks as agents for foreign and international
m onetary authorities.
An additional $548 m i l l i o n of tenders was
also accepted at the average price from G o v e r n m e n t accounts and Federal
Reserve Banks for t h eir own account in exch a n g e for m a turing securities.
