The notes w ill be issued October 31, 1983, and m a t u r e O c t o b e r 31, 1985. The interest rate on the notes will be 10-1/2%. An a d ditional $636 m i l l i o n of tenders was also accepted at the average price from G o v e r n m e n t accounts and Federal Reserve Banks for their own ac c o u n t in exchange for m a t u r i n g securities.
