Second Federal Reserve District:

The Comptroller o f the Currency has advised us that a certificate
o f authority to com m ence business has been issued to Capital
National Bank of New York, New York, N. Y. This newly organized
bank opened for business today and, by virtue of its being a national
bank, has becom e a member of the Federal Reserve System. The
capital of the bank is $800,000 and its surplus $800,000.
