LOST/STOLEN DRAFTS
Drafts Issued by Standard Chartered Bank Africa PLC
on Standard Chartered Bank

To All Commercial Banks in the Second Federal
Reserve District, and Others Concerned:
We have been advised that sterling drafts numbered 261650-261700 issued by Standard Chartered
Bank Africa P L C on Standard Chartered Bank, 73/79 King William Street, London EC 4N 7AB, have been
reported missing from a consignment of drafts dispatched to Standard Chartered Bank Africa PLC , Nairobi.
Two of the drafts have reportedly been used recently in attempts to defraud banks in Europe.
In the event of the presentment of any of the above-numbered drafts, payment should be refused
and the Standard Chartered Bank should be notified by telex advice addressed to the Inspection Depart­
ment, 38 Bishopsgate, London E C 2N 4D E (telex no. 885951 SCBLAG), providing full details.
