Corporations in the Second Federal Reserve District,
and Others Concernedt

As indicated in the enclosed notice, beginning October 1, 1986, the
National Technical Information Service of the U.S. Department of Commerce will
assume responsibility for the sale and public distribution of copies of the
Reports of Condition and Income of financial institutions. Accordingly, the
Supervision Support Department of this Bank will no longer provide that
service.
Requests for copies of those reports and for the appropriate price
list should be made directly to the National Technical Information Service, at
the address and/or the telephone number indicated in the enclosed notice.
If you have any questions about this new procedure, you may direct
them to James P. Barry, Manager of our Supervision Support Department

MTIS to Distribute Printouts
of Reports of Condition and Income
for Individual Banks

Beginning October 1, 1986 the National Technical Information Service
(NTIS), an agency of the Department of Commerce, will assume responsi­
bility for public sale and distribution of individual bank printouts of the
Reports of Condition and Income, The Board and Federal Reserve Banks
will no longer handle such requests. Requests for individual reports
received after September 30, 1986 as well as those for printouts from
the June 30, 1986 Call will be returned.
Reports of condition and income files include data for all insured com­
mercial banks, all insured mutual savings banks, and all FDIC-insured
cooperative banks. These files also include data for branches and agen­
cies of foreign banks, banking edge and agreement corporations and
New York State-chartered investment company subsidiaries of foreign
banks.
NTIS will be able to produce printouts for all publicly available Call and
Income Reports directly from Federal Reserve Board data. Thus, the
quality of the data and level of revision will be the same as those cur­
rently available from the Federal Reserve System. Requests should be
