FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF NEW YORK FRAUDULENT CH ECK S Forged Official Checks D raw n on Bayerische Vereiesbainik A.Go, New Y ork To All Banking Institutions in the Second Federal Reserve District, and Others Concerned: We have been advised by Bayerische Vereinsbank A.G. (Union Bank of Bavaria), New York Branch, that several official checks purportedly drawn on that office and collected through two banks in the Far East were deemed false items. The false checks are yellow in color (authentic O/T ^901 checks are blue), bear routing number - L303 (an erroneous number), are drawn on Bayerische Vereins Bank (note that the latter portion of the name is divided into two words), and have a Park Avenue address instead of the bank’s correct address of 335 Madison Avenue.
