FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF NEW YORK January 1987 To All Depository Institutions in the Second Federal Reserve District: This pamphlet contains the facsimile signatures of the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and of the officers authorized to sign on behalf of this Bank and its Buffalo Branch. It supersedes the pamphlet issued in October 1986. Evidence of the authority of other Bank employees — including Bank person nel who have authority to sign correspondence and reconcilements and those who have authority to sign documents “per procuration” or on behalf of the Bank as fiscal agent of the United States, Government agencies, or international organiza tions — may be obtained upon written request directed to our Personnel Depart ment, or to the department of the Bank with responsibility for the activities to which the documents relate. All checks or drafts payable in foreign countries, and all foreign correspon dence authorizing payments or transfers of funds, or delivery of securities or other property, must bear the authorized signatures of two officers, and one of such sig natures shall be that of the President, the First Vice President, an executive vice president, a senior vice president, a vice president, an assistant vice president, or any other officer of equivalent rank.
