CHANGE IN DISTRIBUTION OF BICENTE NN IAL DOLLARS

As you know, this Bank began distributing Bicentennial
dollars on November 3, 197 5.

In order to assure an equitable

apportionment of these coins, the initial distribution was made
on an allotment basis to only one office of each bank requesting
a supply of the coins.
The U. S. Mint has since advised us that additional supplies
of these coins are now available to us; accordingly, we are now
able to distribute them without regard to the specific allotment
of each bank.

Effective immediately, we will accept orders from

m a i n offices and their branches for reasonable amounts of
Bicentennial dollars.

In all other respects, orders for these

coins should be made in accordance with the procedures set forth
in our June 17, 197 5 letter.
