NONSTANDARD HOLIDAYS
Extension of Time to Comment on Proposals
To Reduce Check and ACH Float

To All Depository Institutions, and Others Concerned,
in the Second Federal Reserve District:

Our Circular No. 9962, dated December 4, 1985, contained the text of pro­
posals issued for comment by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Sys­
tem to reduce float generated because of local holiday schedules.
The Board of Governors has announced that it has extended — to February 3,
1986 — the deadline for receipt of comments on those proposals. Comments on the
proposals may be sent to Cathy E. M inehan, Vice President of our Check
Processing Function.
