Withdrawal Restrictions on
Certain Maryland Financial Institutions
To All Depository Institutions, and Others Concerned,
in the Second Federal Reserve District:

In May, the Governor of Maryland issued a proclamation placing restrictions on withdrawals from savings and
other accounts in state-chartered savings and loan institutions insured by the Maryland Savings-Share Insurance
Corporation. This has resulted in delays in the return of checks and ACH items from these institutions. The names
and routing numbers of those affected institutions were contained in our Circular No. 9859, dated May 16, 1985;
since that time the restrictions on most of those institutions have been removed.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond advises us that restrictions on withdrawals are, however, still in effect
with respect to the following Maryland savings and loan institutions:
