CONSUMER ADVISORY COUNCIL
Request For Nominations
To A ll D epository Institutions, and Others Concerned,
in the Second Federal Reserve District:

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is seeking nominations from the public
for eleven appointments to its Consumer Advisory Council. In this regard, the following statement
was issued by the Board of Governors:
The Federal Reserve Board has announced that itis seeking nominations of qualified individuals
foreleven appointments to itsConsumer Advisory Council, toreplace members whose terms expire on
December 31, 1985.
The Consumer Advisory Council was established by Congress in 1976, at the suggestion of the
Board, toadvise the Board on theexerciseofitsdutiesunder theConsumer CreditProtectionAct and on
other consumer-related matters. The Council meets three times a year.
Nominations should includethename, address, and telephonenumber ofthenominee. Inaddition,
information about past and present positions held, specialknowledge, interestsor experience relatedto
consumer credit or other consumer financial services should be included.
Nominations should be submitted in writing to Dolores S. Smith, Assistant Director, Division of
Consumer and Community Affairs, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, Washington,
D.C. 20551, and must be received no later than August 9, 1985.

Nominations may be sent to James P. Barry, Assistant Chief Examiner, Bank Examinations
Department, who will then forward them to the Board of Governors.

The Council meets inWashington,
