FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF NEW YORK [ 9427 ~1 Circular No. December 23, 1982 J REVISED PROCEDURES FOR SUBMITTING FOOD COUPON REDEMPTION CERTIFICATES Effective January 1, 1983 To All Commercial Banks, and Others Concerned, in the Second Federal Reserve District: As part of the Food Coupon Redemption Monitoring System of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service, certain procedures for depositing U.S. Food Coupons with this Bank are being changed. Beginning January 1, 1983, U.S. Food Coupon Redemption Certificates (FNS-278) should he sent to this Bank with the food coupon deposits. (Formerly, you had submitted these certificates directly to the Food and Nutrition Service.) The certificates should be enclosed in the parcel containing the food coupons, but should not be inserted into the deposit ticket envelope (COL 11 or C74B) attached to the parcel. Please notify your branches and correspondent banks regarding this change. Between now and mid-1983, the Department of Agriculture plans to phase in additional procedural changes; your organization will be contacted as soon as the details become available.
