MEMORIAL DAY — LAST MONDAY IN MAY
Change in New York Observance, Beginning This Year

To All Member Banks, and Others Concerned,
in the Second Federal Reserve District:

Beginning this year, th e la st M o n d a y in M a y has been designated as Memorial Day in
New York, as the result of a recent change in New York State law. Accordingly, a ll offices
of this Bank will be closed on Monday, May 26, 1980 and will be open on May 30, 1980.
The New York observance of Memorial Day now conforms to the practice of most
other States, including Connecticut and New Jersey.
With regard to Memorial Day, this notice supersedes our Circular No. 8666, dated
October 23, 1979.
