R e n c h a r d , class A director; and (b) to succeed A r t h u r S. H a m l i n , class A director, and M a u r i c e R . F o r m a n , class B director, whose term s expire December 31, 1972, has been duly held in accordance with the requirem ents of section 4 of the F ederal Reserve Act, as amended, and the provisions of Circular No. 7029, dated November 1, 1972. The results of the election are as follow s: D a v i d R o c k e f e l l e r , Chairman of the Board, The Chase M anhattan Bank (N ational A ssociation), New York, N. Y., was elected by member banks in Group 1 as a class A director of this Bank to hold office for the unexpired portion of the term ending December 31, 1973. N e w m a n E d w a r d W a i t , J r . , President, The Adirondack T ru st Company, S aratoga Springs, N . Y., was elected by member banks in Group 3 as a class A director of this Bank for a term of three years beginning Ja n u a ry 1, 1973. J a c k B. J a c k s o n , President, J. C. Penney Co., Inc., New York, N. Y., was elected by member banks in Group 3 as a class B director of this Bank for a term of three years beginning Jan u a ry 1, 1973. L.
