FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF NEW YORK Cash Department TCircular No. 6881 |_ September 16, 1925J New Counterfeit To all Banks, Trust Companies and Savings Banks in the Second Federal Reserve District: The Treasury Department in its circular letter No. 564 describes a new counterfeit $10 National Bank Note as follows: _ "On the Lackawana National Bank, Lackawana, N. Y., Series of 1902, check letter ' D ' ; Chas. H. Treat, Treasurer of the United States; W. T. Vernon, Register of the Treasury; portrait of William McKinley. "This counterfeit is printed from crudely executed plates apparently woodcut, on a single piece of paper without silk threads or imitation of them.
