FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF NEW YORK Cash Department ["Circular No. 661~| L March 24, 1925J New Counterfeit To all Banks, Trust Companies and Savings Banks in the Second Federal Reserve District: The Treasury Department in its circular letter No. 553 describes a new counterfeit $10 National Bank Note as follows: ' * On the Chatham and Phenix National Bank of the City of New York; check letter 'Cc'; Houston B. Teehee, Eegister of the Treasury; John Burke, Treasurer of the United States; portrait of William McKinley. "This is a poorly executed photograph on a single piece of paper, with red and blue ink lines to imitate the silk fiber of the genuine. The specimen at hand bears charter No. 10778, Treasury No. T48041H in upper right end of note, and bank No. 435369 in lower left corner. These numbers are uncolored.
