Par Clearance of Checks Drawn on All Banks
in Missouri, Effective October 13, 1969

To the Member Banks and Nonmember Clearing Banks
of the Second Federal Reserve District:

We have been informed by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis that,
effective October 13, 1969, checks drawn on all banks located in Missouri may be
cleared through the Federal Reserve System. This has been made possible by
action of the 1969 Missouri State Legislature providing for par clearance.
Until present check supplies are exhausted, checks will bear routing symbol
9080. Newly printed checks will bear routing symbol 815 (MICR encoded 0815)
and items printed with either of these numbers may be commingled with other
deferred-credit items in cash letters scheduled to arrive at the Federal Reserve
Bank of St. Louis on and after October 13, 1969.
