FED ER A L R E SE R V E BANK OF N EW YORK Fiscal Agent of the United States I* Circular No. 6 3 8 0 August 4, 1969 "1 J TREASURY TAX AND LOAN DEPOSITARIES Groups A, B, and C Reclassified as of August 12, 1969 T o A ll Treasury Tax and Loan D epositaries in the Second Federal R eserve D istrict: The Treasury Department has authorized and requested this Bank to reclassify the Treasury Tax and Loan Depositaries in this District into Groups A, B, and C as of August 12, 1969, upon the basis of the total deposits credited to tax and loan accounts during the period March 1 through May 31, 1969, exclusive of payments for subscriptions to Government securities and redeposits with Group C banks. Accordingly, depositaries that made a total of such deposits in this period in the amounts indicated below will be grouped as follows: Group A — Less than $1,000,000 Group B — $1,000,000 or more, but less than $55,000,000 Group C — $55,000,000 or more The new groupings will be continued until further notice, notwithstanding any subsequent increase or decrease in tax and loan deposit levels of any depositary. Any depositary whose group classification will change on August 12, 1969 will be so notified in a letter accompanying this circular. A lfred H ayes, President.
