Appointment of Directors

To the M em ber B anks o f the Second F ederal Reserve D istr ict:

The Board of Governors of tlie Federal Reserve System has reappointed E v e r e t t N. C a s e
a class C director of this Bank for the three-year term beginning January 1, 1967 and
has redesignated him Chairman of the Board and Federal Reserve Agent for the year 1967.
Mr. Case, who is President of the A lfred P. Sloan Foundation, New York City, has been a
class C director o f this Bank since January 1961. He served as Deputy Chairman in 1965
and as Chairman and Federal Reserve Agent in 1966.
The Board of Governors has reappointed K e n n e t h H . H a n n a n as Deputy Chairman for
the year 1967. Mr. Hannan, Executive Vice President of the Union Carbide Corporation,
New York City, served as a class B director from 1960 through 1965. In 1966 he was appointed
a class C director for a three-year term and Deputy Chairman for 1966.
The Board o f Governors has appointed G e r a l d F. B r itt a director o f the Buffalo
Branch of this Bank for a three-year term beginning January 1, 1967. Mr. Britt is President
of L-B rooke Farms, Inc., of Byron, N. Y. On the Branch Board, he succeeds T h o m a s E.
LaMont, who is engaged in farming in Orleans County, N. Y. Mr. LaMont has been a Branch
director since November 1959, serving as Chairman o f the Branch Board in 1963 and 1966.
The Board of Governors has also appointed C a r l A. D a y a director of the Buffalo
Branch for the unexpired portion of a term ending December 31,1968. Mr. Day is an Executive
Vice President of Bausch & Lomb, Inc., Rochester, N. Y. On the Branch Board, he succeeds
M a u r i c e R. F o r m a n , President of B. Forman Co., Inc., Rochester, N. Y., who has been elected
a class B director of this Bank.
The Board of Directors of this Bank has appointed E. P e r r y S p i n k a director of the
Buffalo Branch for a three-year term beginning January 1, 1967. Mr. Spink, who is Chairman
o f the Board of the Liberty National Bank and Trust Company, Buffalo, N. Y., served as a
director of the Buffalo Branch from 1958 through 1960. On the Branch Board, he succeeds
C h a r l e s W . M i l l a r d , Jr., Chairman of the Board, Manufacturers and Traders Trust ComĀ­
pany, Buffalo, N. Y.
The Board of Directors of this Bank has designated R o b e r t S. B e n n e t t as Chairman of
the Board of Directors of the Branch for the year 1967. Mr. Bennett, who is General Manager
of the Lackawanna Plant of the Bethlehem Steel Corporation, Buffalo, N. Y., has been a
director of the Branch since January 1965.
