FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF N EW YORK r Circular N o. 5 4 7 0 1 L M arch 12, 1964 J Bank of America Travelers Cheques To the M em ber and Nonm em ber Clearing Banks o f the Second Federal R eserve D istrict: W e have been informed that after March 16, 1964, the First National City Bank, New York, N. Y., will no longer be Paying Agent for Travelers Cheques issued by the Bank of America National Trust & Savings Association, San Francisco, California. As a result, these items will no longer be payable in New York City. After March 16, Bank of America Travelers Cheques will not be received by this Bank for immediate credit, but will be received as deferred-credit items and should be included with cash letters deposited for deferred credit. Member banks that forward cash items direct to other Federal Reserve Banks and Branches should include Bank of America Travelers Cheques in cash letters with “ city items” for warded to the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.
