FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF NEW YORK [ Circular No. 546, April 24, 19231 Reference to Circular No. 515 Jj Collection Department Government Checks Stolen from Fort Hayes, Ohio To all Banks, Trust Companies and Savings Banks in the Second Federal Reserve District: We transmit to you for your information the serial numbers of certain Treasury checks which have been stolen from the United States Army Finance Officer at Fort Hayes, Ohio: 38466 to 38513 inclusive (All bearing symbol number 200729) We are informed that five of these checks have already been cashed and that the Treasury will refuse payment on any of the checks described if presented.
