FE D ER AL R E SE R V E BANK O F N E W YORK r Circular No. 5 1 6 6 * 1 L March IS, 1962 Nonpayment of Postal Money Orders Issued in Cuba On or After March 19, 1962 To the Member and Nonmember Clearing Banks of the Second Federal Reserve District: W e have been advised by the Post Office Department, Bureau of Finance, that effective March 19, 1962 the money order service between the United States and Cuba will be suspended, and no money order issued in Cuba on or after that date will be acceptable for payment in the United States. Accordingly, no postal money order issued in Cuba on or after March 19, 1962 should be forwarded to us for collection. Any such money order received by us will be returned to our depositing bank.
