TREASURY’ S CURRENT CASH OFFERING
Amounts of Subscriptions and Bases of Allotments
To All Lanlcing Institutions, and Others Concerned,
in the Second Federal Reserve D istrict:

The following statement wras made public today by the Treasury Department:
Reports received from the Federal Reserve Banks show that subscriptions total about $13,824
million fo r the offering o f $5,250 million, or thereabouts, o f 3 percent Certificates o f Indebtedness o f
Series A-1962, due May 15, 1962, and $12,889 m illion fo r the offering o f $2,500 million, or thereabouts,
o f 3 1 4 percent Treasury Notes o f Series D-1963, due M ay 15, 1963. Total subscriptions accepted
amount to about $5,510 m illion fo r the certificates and $2,750 m illion fo r the notes.
The Treasury w ill allot in fu ll all subscriptions, totaling about $2,379 m illion fo r the certificates
and $1,258 m illion fo r the notes, from States, political subdivisions or instrumentalities thereof, public
pension and retirement and other public funds, international organizations in which the U nited States
holds membership, foreign central banks and foreign States, Government Investment Accounts, and the
Federal Reserve Banks, as provided in the offering circulars.
On subscriptions fo r the certificates received subject to allotment, the Treasury announced a 27
percent allotm ent; except that subscriptions fo r $25,000 or less will be allotted in full, and subscriptions
fo r more than $25,000 will be allotted not less than $25,000.
On subscriptions fo r the notes received subj ect to allotment, the Treasury announced a 12 percent
allotm ent; except that subscriptions fo r $25,000 or less will be allotted in full, and subscriptions fo r
more than $25,000 will be allotted not less than $25,000.
Details by Federal Reserve Districts as to subscriptions and allotments will be announced when
final reports are received from the Federal Reserve Banks.
