The T reasury D epartm ent announced last evening that tenders fo r an additional
$1,000,000,000, or thereabouts, o f the T ax A nticipation Series T reasury bills dated
Ju ly 8, 1959, to m ature M arch 22, 1960, w ere opened at the F ederal R eserve Banks on
A u gust 13. The additional amount o f bills, which were offered on A ugust 10, w ill be
issued on A u gust 19 (216 days to m aturity date).
