These certificates will be dated A ugust 15, 1956, and will m ature M arch 22, 1957. They will be accepted a t p a r plus accrued interest to m atu rity in p ay ment of income an d profits taxes due on M arch 15, 1957. About $1,050 million of these certificates were allotted to nonbank sources on original issue.
