These certificates will be dated April 1, 1955, and will mature June 22, 1955. They will be accepted at par plus accrued interest to maturity in payment of income and profits taxes due on June 15, 1955. Commercial banks were allotted slightly over $1.9 billion, with more than $1.3 billion going to nonbank sources on original issue.
