F E D E R A L RESERVE B A N K O F N E W YORK ,, , r. ___ Cash Department ("Circular No. 4131 [November 2,1921J New Counterfeit $10 Federal Reserve Note To all Banks, Trust Companies and Savings Banks in the Second Federal Reserve District: The Treasury Department in its circular letter No. 481 describes a new counterfeit $10 Federal Reserve Note as follows: "On the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Illinois; check letter ' C ; W. G. McAdoo, Secretary of the Treasury; John Burke, Treasurer of the United States; portrait of Jackson. The face of this counterfeit is a photograph. The back is a crude etching. I t is printed on fair quality paper, red and blue ink lines being used to imitate the silk fiber of the genuine. The number of the specimen at hand is G29506909A.
