FED ERAL R E SER VE BANK O F NEW YORK r Circular N o. 3 6 1 3 1 L Novem ber 13, 1950 J SAFEKEEPING, HANDLING AND SHIPMENT OF SECURITIES Revision of Operating Circular No. 14 To all Member and Nonmember Banks in the Second Federal Reserve D istrict: W e transmit herewith a copy of our revised Operating Circular No. 14, entitled “ Safekeeping, Handling and Shipment of Securities,” effective November 13, 1950, superseding our Operating Circular No. 14, dated December 8, 1947, as amended. Paragraph 10 o f the revised circular (form erly 11) has been amended so as to include provision for the giving of telephonic instructions (under certain conditions) with respect to securities handled by us. In addition, the revised circular gives effect to the amendments made by the First, Second and Third Supplements to the circular dated December 8, 1947, and contains certain editorial changes.
