J SATURDAY CLOSINGS OF CONNECTICUT BANKS DURING SUMMER MONTHS To All Banking Institutions in the Second Federal Beserve District, and Others Concerned : We have been advised by The Connecticut Bankers Association that the Governor of the State of Connecticut, by proclamation, has declared each Saturday from June 1 to September 28, 1946, inclusive, as a bank holiday, and that, accordingly, all banking institutions in that State will remain closed on Saturdays during June, July, August and September, 1946. In view of the fact that the Connecticut banks will remain closed on Saturdays during the months stated above, there may be a delay in the return of many dishonored cash items and in our advice to you of the nonpayment of such items.
