SUBSCRIPTION BOOKS TO CLOSE OCTOBER 27, 1942
On Cash Offering of % Percent Treasury Certificates of Indebtedness
of Series D-1943

To all Banking Institutions, and Others Concerned,
in the Second Federal Reserve District:

In accordance with instructions received today from the Secretary of the
Treasury, the subscription books for the current offering of $2,000,000,000, or
thereabouts, of 7/s percent Treasury Certificates of Indebtedness of Series D-1943,
dated November 2, 1942, due November 1, 1943, will close at the close of business
Tuesday, October 27, 1942.
Any subscription addressed to a Federal Reserve Bank or Branch and placed
in the mail before 12 o'clock midnight Tuesday, October 27,1942, will be considered as
having been entered before the close of the subscription books.
