SUBSCRIPTION BOOKS TO CLOSE JULY 9, 1942
On Cash Offering of 2 Percent Treasury Bonds of 1949-51

To all Banking Institutions, and Others Concerned,
in the Second Federal Reserve District:

In accordance with instructions received today from the Secretary of the
Treasury, the subscription books for the current offering of $2,000,000,000, or
thereabouts, of 2 percent Treasury Bonds of 1949-51, dated July 15, 1942, due
December 15, 1951, will close at the close of business Thursday, July 9, 1942.
Any subscription addressed to a Federal Eeserve Bank or Branch and placed
in the mail before 12 o'clock midnight Thursday, July 9, 1942, will be considered
as having been entered before the close of the subscription books.
