To ALL BANKS AND TRUST COMPANIES AND SAVINGS BANKS
IN THE SECOND FEDERAL RESERVE DISTRICT,
DEAR SIRS:

The Treasury Department today issued the following announcement:

Washington, D. C.
August 6, 1919.

"Secretary Glass today announced that subscriptions for Treasury
Certificates of Indebtedness of Series A 1920, dated August 1, 1919, and
maturing January 2, 1920, will close at the close of business on Thursday,
August 7, 1919."
In accordance therewith the subscription books of the Federal Reserve Bank of New
York, for Series A 1920, will close at the close of business on August 7, 1919.
