Receipt of Gold by Banks
To All Member Banks in the Second Federal Reserve District:

For your information and guidance, we quote the following telegram received
today from the Treasury Department:
"Federal Reserve Banks, branches, and member banks should continue to receive
gold delivered in accordance with Executive Order April 5 but should keep record of
name and address of person delivering gold."
The Executive Order of April 5, referred to in this telegram, was quoted in our
Circular No. 1204, dated April 6, 1933.
