Receivership of Whitestone Savings, F.A. and
Nassau Federal Savings and Loan Association
To All Depository Institutions in the Second Federal
Reserve District, and Others Concerned:
Whitestone Savings, F.A.
We have been advised that effective March 16,1990, the Director of the Office of Thrift
Supervision, Departm ent of the Treasury, determined that a ground for the appointment of
a receiver existed for W hitestone Savings, F .A ., W hitestone, New Y ork (“ Old W hitestone”).
The Resolution Trust Corporation (“R T C ”) was appointed receiver for the purpose of liquidation.
Whitestone Federal Savings and Loan Association, Whitestone, New York (“New Whitestone”),
a newly chartered Federal savings association, has been organized to take over the assets
and liabilities of Old W hitestone. The RTC has been appointed the conservator of New
W hitestone.
New W hitestone has agreed to accept presentm ent of cash items payable by, through,
or at Old W hitestone and to accept the return of cash item s originally deposited at Old
W hitestone. New Whitestone will use the routing number previously used by Old W hitestone
(2214-7263-7).

Nassau Federal Savings and Loan Association
W e have also been advised that effective March 16, 1990, the D irector of the Office

Y ork (“ Old N assau”). The RTC was appointed receiver for the purpose of liquidation. Nassau
Savings and Loan Association, F.A ., Brooklyn, New York (“New Nassau”), a newly chartered
Federal savings association, has been organized to take over the assets and liabilities of Old
Nassau. The RTC has been appointed the conservator of New Nassau.
New Nassau has agreed to accept presentm ent of cash item s payable by, through,
or at Old Nassau and to accept the return of cash item s originally deposited at Old Nassau.
New Nassau will use the routing number previously used by Old Nassau (2260-7238-8).
