To the Member Banks of the
Second Federal Reserve District:

The Board o f Directors of this Bank has selected W illard C. B utcher ,
Chairm an o f the B oard, The Chase M anhattan Bank (National A ssociation), New
York, N .Y ., and T homas G. L abrecque , President of that bank, to serve during
the year 1988 as the m em ber and alternate m em ber, respectively, o f the Federal
Advisory Council from the Second Federal Reserve District.
Mr. Butcher succeeds John F. M cG illicuddy , Chairm an o f the Board,
M anufacturers H anover Trust Com pany, New Y ork, N. Y ., who was this D istrict’s
m em ber o f the Council during 1986 and 1987. Mr. M cGillicuddy has been nom i­
nated as a Class A director o f this Bank.
