To All Depository Institutions in the Second
Federal Reserx’e District, and Others Concerned:

All offices of this Bank (including our Cranford Office) will be open on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4,
1986. It is our understanding that the majority of depository institutions located in New York, Puerto Rico, and the
Virgin Islands will also be open on that day, while the majority of depository institutions located in New Jersey will
be closed. Cash items and noncash items that are payable by, at, or through depository institutions in New Jersey and
that otherwise would be presented by the Cranford Office of this Bank on that day will be presented on the next
business day, November 5, 1986. In addition, credit that would normally be given on Tuesday, November 4, for cash
items drawn on accounts at depository institutions in New Jersey and deposited at any office of this Bank will be
given on Wednesday, November 5. Corresponding delays will occur in the return of unpaid items and in the forward
ing of advices of nonpayment of such items.
For cash and noncash items other than those payable by, at, or through depository institutions in New Jersey, we
will give credit in accordance with our time schedules.
