NEW TELEPHONE SYSTEM FOR. THIS BANK
Effective September 6, 1986

To All Depository Institutions, and Others Concerned,
in the Second Federal Reserve District:

Effective Septem ber 6, 1986, the Head Office of the Federal R eserve B ank of
New York will have a new telephone system . The B ank’sp resen t 791 exchange will
change to 720; however, m ost direct-dialed extensions (the last fo u r digits) will
remain unchanged.
Once the conversion to the new system occurs, recordings will be in place
inform ing those who dial the old 791 exchange o f the new 720 exchange. In addi­
tion, new Organization/Telephone and Telephone Inquiry D irectories, reflecting
the new num bers, are being prepared and will be sent to you shortly. The B ank’s
operators may be reached at 212-720-5000. In an em ergency situation, if you can­
not reach an appropriate Bank officer, please call Central W atch at 212-720-5106.
The telephone num bers for the other offices of this Bank will not be affected
by this change.
