REPORTS OF CRIMINAL VIOLATIONS TO THE FEDERAL

BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION.
TO THE MEMBER BANKS OF THE

SEVENTH FEDERAL RESERVE DISTRICT:
Your attention is directed to our circular letter
dated March 18, 1935, in which we called attention to a statement by the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation
of the United States Department of Justice with regard to the
procedure to be followed in communicating with field offices
of the Bureau in the event of a bank robbery.
It is the desire of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to cooperate with all banks to the fullest extent possible
in an effort to identify and prosecute those guilty of bank
robberies, and your coopera tion in promptly reporting to the
nearest field office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation will
be greatly appreciated and wi ll be of mutual advantage in these
cases.
There is enclosed copy of a complete list of the
present field offices of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for
your use in making reports of bank robberies.
If you do not have in your files a copy of our letter
dated March 18, 1935, which contai ned a complete statement by
the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation as to the
procedure to be fellowed in the event of a bank robbery, please
advise us and we will forward a copy immediately.
