Government coupons for redemption. The schedule whi ch you are now using, form Cpn. 1000, will be obsolete after September lo, 1918, as no provision is made thereon for the Tbjrd Liberty Loan coupons maturing on that date. You will, therefore, destroy any which you may have on hand at that time. Care should be exercised to list coupons under the proper issue. Form Cpn. 1000- A provides blank space for the listing of U, S. Government c0upons other than Liberty Loan Issues. We caution banks to balance all coupons against their records before forwarding, particularly in view of the possibility of error due to the Treasury seal being directly over the amount on each coupon.
