To the Member and Nonmember Clearing Banks in the
Seventh Federal Reserve District,
We have been advised by the Federal Reserve
Bank of San Francisco of the disestablishment of its Spokane
branch as at the close of business on September 30, 1938.
All transactions which have not been completed by Spokane
on or before September 30 will be completed through the
Seattle branch. By reason of this change, cash items on
Spokane will hereafter be deferred for six business days if
deposited in the Chicago office, and seven business days if
deposited at the Detroit branch.
Also, effective October 1, the counties of
Asotin
Columbia.

Garfield
Walla. Walla.

in the State of Washington and all that part of the State of
Ida.ho \Vhich has been in the Seattle branch zone will be transferred from the Seattle branch zone to the Portland branch zone.
The banks in that territory will thereafter be affiliated with
the Portland branch~
It will be appreciated if you will observe the foregoing changes in connection with any direct-sending of cash or
non-ca.sh items.
