The agreement specifies annual quantities to be purchased from five crop years, commencing October 1, 1976 and running to September 30, 1981. Some of the uncertainties addressed by this article have thereby been resolved. However, this discussion is relevant to unexpected demand for U.S. grain, regardless of the source.
