1 Exclusive also of certified and cashiers’ or treasurers’ checks outstanding.
*
Combined excess of amounts due to banks over amounts due from banks as shown b y individual bank reports. W hen for a given bank amounts
due from banks exceed amounts due to banks, the excess due from can not be deducted in determining deposits on which reserves are computed, and
for this reason amounts in this column do not agree with the difference between aggregate amounts due to banks and due from banks. In this
calculation the amounts due to banks include due to Federal reserve banks, bankers, and Xrust companies, and certified and cashiers’ or treasurers’
checks outstanding, and amounts due from banks include items with Federal reserve banks in process of collection, amounts due from banks, bankers,
and trust companies, and exchanges for clearing house, also checks on other banks in same place.
3 Deficiencies in reserves indicated b y a minus (—) sign.
