FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF DALLAS F IS C A L A G E N T O F TH E U N ITE D S T A T E S Dallas, Texas, September 19, 1945 UNITED STATES SAVINGS BONDS—SERIES E To All Qualified Issuing Agents in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: There are reproduced on the reverse side of this letter the Third Sup plement to Treasury Department Circular No. 653 and the Second Supple ment to Treasury Department Circular No. 657, from which it will be observed that all United States Savings Bonds of Series E, regardless of title when issued, will in the future be termed Bonds o f Series E, and that as present stocks o f such bonds are exhausted, Bonds of Series E without special designation and without any change in terms will be prepared with out further notice. United States Savings Bonds of Series E include all bonds issued as Defense Savings Bonds, all those issued as War Savings Bonds, and all those issued as Series E bonds without special designa tion. As their terms are identical, no distinction is to be made between any bonds of Series E so issued. Bonds of Series E, without special designation and without change in terms, will be prepared for issue under said circular in regular course without further notice as stocks of prior bonds of Series E become exhausted. United States Savings Bonds of Series E include all bonds issued as Defense Savings Bonds, all those issued as War Savings Bonds, and all those issued as Series E bonds without special desig nation, and no distinction is to be made between any bonds of Series E so issued.
