This time schedule be comes effective July 2, 1957 and supersedes the Houston Branch time schedule th a t became effective March 28, 1955. The principal revision in the enclosed schedule is the change in deferment for items drawn on outlying Houston banks, which hereto fore have been subject to deferred credit of two business days after receipt. These items will now be available for credit one business day after receipt by our Houston Branch when received in cash letters con taining only items of one day availability. A list of the outlying Houston banks, checks on which will be sub ject to the deferment of one business day after receipt, is shown on the reverse side of the enclosed time schedule. Additional banks may be added to this list from time to tim e; and, in such case, announcement will be made by circular letter. Checks on other Houston banks, which are collectible through the Houston Clearing House, will be acceptable for immediate credit Mon day through Friday. This time schedule should be inserted in the ring binder previously furnished your bank, in place of the Houston Branch time schedule, pages 3 and 4 of Bulletin No. 8A, effective March 28, 1955. Additional copies of this schedule may be obtained from our Houston Branch upon request. Please acknowledge receipt of the time schedule by signing and returning the enclosed postal card. The following schedule shows when credit will be available for items received and accepted as cash items at the Houston branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas: Houston — Items collectible through Houston Clearing House. (Closing hour 10:00 a.m.) Immediate Credit (Monday through Friday) 1 Business Day After Receipt * * Government paper checks drawn on the Treasurer of the United States. Government card checks drawn on the Treasurer of the United States, including those payable through Federal Reserve banks. Postal money orders. (Closing hour 1 :00 p.m.) Drafts on Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and its branches; subject to inspection and verification of signatures at the head office or branch on which they are drawn. Cashier’s checks and expense checks of all Federal Reserve banks and branches. Federal Reserve Exchange drafts. (Closing hour 2:00 p.m.) Houston — Items on outlying banks, as listed on page 4. ♦Dallas Nashville Atlanta New Orleans Birmingham El Paso Oklahoma City ♦San Antonio Kansas City St. Louis Memphis Fort W orth — Limited to bank drafts drawn on certain F ort W orth mem ber banks which are payable to our order and are drawn by member and nonmember clearing banks located in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District.
